From CA articleship to BSE-listed finance controller to greenfield finance builder — five years of asking why things break, then fixing them.
I started at S.M. Kabra & Co., a CA firm managing 900+ clients — handling everything from GST filings to statutory audits. That breadth gave me a systems-level view of finance that most specialists never get.
From there, I joined a large Pharma API company — ₹700 Cr turnover — where I led accounts, banking, and export finance operations. I was managing buyer's credit lines, EDPMS compliance, and live MIS dashboards that the MD could read before his morning coffee.
I then moved to a BSE-listed Petrochemical company as Finance Controller. I led IndAS group consolidation for four foreign subsidiaries, filed quarterly results with SEBI, negotiated IBR spreads to 2 paise, and brought T+0 book close to the organisation. The complexity of a listed company gave me rigour that unlocks at scale.
I returned to the same group as Assistant Manager — this time to lead a team of 12 and build the finance function for a greenfield subsidiary from scratch in seven months. Full asset buyout, Dynamics 365 Business Central implemented at the new entity, credit facilities from zero, SOPs for every process. Finance, built like an engineer builds a system.
Finance should be real-time, automated, and decision-ready — not a monthly fire drill.
