Section 458: Delegation by Central Government of its powers and functions
This section allows the Central Government to delegate certain powers and functions to other authorities, with the requirement to notify Parliament.

(1)The Central Government may, by notification, and subject to such conditions, limitations and restrictions as may be specified therein, delegate any of its powers or functions under this Act other than the power to make rules to such authority or officer as may be specified in the notification:
The Central Government can delegate some of its powers, except the power to make rules, to a specified authority or officer through a notification, which can include conditions, limitations, and restrictions.

A copy of every notification issued must be presented to each House of Parliament as soon as possible after it is issued.
